Any groups with conflicting goals will be hostile to each other and will strengthen the solidarity within their own group. There is regality in certain communist countries. It's not a matter of left or right. It's a matter of how well it fits into the pattern.

It's important to keep science independent of politics. You can't change the definition just to make it fit whatever you don't like.
